Blues Confidential is known for its high energy live performances. The band blazes its own innovative musical path while still remaining true to the blues. Drawing on a vast repertoire its live set combines elements of blues classics from Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, John Mayall, and Peter Green with material from modern blues artists such as Gary Clarke Jnr. The set is served up with feel, solid playing and injected with a dose of gritty roadhouse rock ‘n’ roll to create the band's own blues sound . The live performances have a reputation for being a great night out and just what you need to blow off a little steam at the end of a long week.

Blues Confidential is now led by Lee Meehan, who  is best known for his collaborations with renowned Irish and International groups, and musicians including Richie Buckley (Van Morrison), Don Baker, Damien Dempsey, Rob Strong Band, Darren Beckett (Lauren Hill, The Killers, Brandon Flowers) Hugh Buckley, Tommy Halferty and many more. Lee has gained the respect of his peers as a jaw-dropping jazz and blues guitarist and singer and is bringing jazz and blues to a new and younger audience. He is a sought after session player and has played with  the Sean Maynard Smith Quartet, The Reggulators, Soul Foolishness, Richard Nelson quartet. In jazz circles he is widely known and leads The Lee Meehan Quintet.

On blues harmonica is John McGuinness, a veteran of the London scene where he played alongside Ritchie "Charlie" McCracken (Taste, Stud) and Paul Atkinson (Bees Make Honey, Juice on the Loose) in Smokin’ Blues and the Buick Hill Band.

The band also features the very experienced rhythm section partnership of Steve O’Keeffe (the Pale, John Isley of Dire Straits) on drums and Paul Roche on bass
